Contract Details: Pedro is set to sign a seven-year contract, keeping him at Chelsea through 2032 .

Medical & Arrival: He is expected to travel to the United States this week for his medical and will then join Chelsea’s squad competing in the FIFA Club World Cup

Club World Cup Eligibility: FIFA rules allow Chelsea to register up to two new players (like Pedro and Jamie Gittens) between June 27 and July 3, making him eligible to possibly debut against Palmeiras in the quarter-finals

Competing Interest: Newcastle and Liverpool were also tracking Pedro, with Newcastle reportedly having a £50 million offer rejected. Pedro reportedly chose Chelsea over those options

🔍 What this means for Chelsea and Brighton

Chelsea: Enzo Maresca now has depth across the front line. Pedro, a versatile forward who scored 10 PL goals and 6 assists last season, can slot in as a central striker or wide forward—competing with Nkunku, Jackson, Félix, and the incoming Liam Delap

Brighton: Having bought Pedro in 2023 for a club-record ~£30 million and sold for ~£55–60 million, they’ve made a healthy profit. The deal includes Brighton receiving a percentage of any future sale, and continues their strategy of smart trading
