Following medical attention, Ymer attempted to continue, but was unable to finish the match and retired at 5–5, with Hsu advancing after a 7–6(4), 5–5 RET. result.

The ATP reported that nausea was behind Ymer's physical problems, with the extreme weather and high humidity also believed to have contributed to his exhaustion.

The priority now is Ymer's wellbeing as fans await further updates on his condition.

Wishing Elias Ymer a full and speedy recovery. 🎾🙏
